Horseback Riding among the Vineyards

Explore the Estate on horseback and taste the Ripalte wines

    Join a horseback tour, guided by an instructor, along the ancient mule tracks of our property covering 450 hectares, along the eastern coast of the island of Elba.

    Before riding, there will be a brief illustration of techniques for a safe and risk-free ride. Then, we will proceed in line to visit some historical and naturalistic points of interest of the Estate, included in the Tuscany Archipelago National Park. We will advance along the rows of vineyards of our plots, immersing ourselves in the atmosphere that envelops the Tenuta delle Ripalte, with its ancient stories and legends.

    After the vineyard tour, we will direct the route towards the Cantina delle Ripalte, admiring its external architectural lines, which make it famous in Tuscany as one of the 14 "Tuscany Wine Architecture"

    Here, we will participate in the Wine Tourism Aperitif offered by the Winery: after a brief overview of the winery and production, we will take our reserved spot on the panoramic terrace, with breathtaking views of the sea and vineyards.

    A rich aperitif with local products from the Island of Elba and Tuscany will be served: typical cheeses of various aging and processing, artisanal cold cuts from local free-range farming, and extra virgin olive oil from the Island of Elba, with fresh schiaccia. All food products are carefully selected from small local producers, artisans of taste, and are explained during the aperitif.

    Completing the gastronomy, 3 glasses of our wines, to choose from the entire range of rosé, sparkling, white, and red wines.

    Useful information:

    • To participate, an age between 14 and 60 years is required
    • Participants must not exceed 90kg in weight
    • For minors under 18 years:
      - they are allowed on the tour if aged between 14 and 18 years
      - they are allowed at the aperitif for the relaxation moment, but cannot drink alcohol. A snack will be provided as a substitute for the wine tasting
    • Not accessible for disabled individuals, recommended only for those in good health (no heart problems or other physical issues)
    • The horseback activity lasts a total of 1h30m: 30m of lesson and 1h of horseback riding at a walk; the aperitif lasts about 1h30m. The total duration is 3 hours
    • No training is required: the experience is for all levels
    • The excursion requires good weather: if it is canceled due to bad weather, a new date or a full refund will be offered
    • Required clothing: sneakers, long pants
