Description
The grapes for the production of Rosato delle Ripalte come from the Poggio Turco Vineyards, cultivated with Aleatico. It is a new interpretation of an old grape variety, grown on the high slopes overlooking the sea on the island's southernmost tip.
Like the Aleatico Raisin wine, it has wild rose aromas and a hint of Mediterranean scrub; the structure, on the other hand, is light but does not keep us from a long and complex tasting.
The color of this Rosé approaches Tea rose and evokes sensations of freshness that can be found in the wine. With this new wine, we manage to have, at the same time, the richness of the primary aromas of flowers and fruit and the excellent drinkability of a dry and clean product, to be enjoyed as an aperitif or at the beginning of the meal.
Vinification and aging: after harvest, when fully ripe, the Aleatico grapes are crushed and then undergo a soft pressing; the must is fermented at a controlled temperature of 15-18°C. The resulting wine is very fresh with the typical aromas of Aleatico, such as dog rose, violet and morello cherry, but at the same time rich in the aromatic bouquet typical of the Mediterranean scrub. The overall product is a harmonious wine, pleasantly savory and balanced.

Features and tasting:
Appearance: deep pink color with golden hues.
On the nose: aggressive, rich primary aromas, flowers and slightly caramelized fruit with a hint of Mediterranean scrub.
Palate: very balanced and fresh, harmonious and delicately fruity. It is recommended to be enjoyed at 11/12° C. In addition to the classic pairings with seafood and rustic island cuisine, this Rosé finds an ideal link in raw fish appetizers, as well as in risottos, especially with asparagus; it is also a good match for sweet, medium-hard cheeses, not too mature. Very pleasant as an aperitif.
